Depending on what size pom pom will determine the size of the circle you want to create.
Use something like a mug, glass or something circular to draw around.
Place the cardboard on a table and put the circular object on top.
Draw around the circular object with a pen or pencil.
Cut out the circle with your scissors.
Using a smaller circle anything from a coin.
Make sure your line from your outer ring to the inner ring is no less than 1 inch thick.
Using a pen draw a line from the inner circle to the edge of the cardboard.
Cut that line and cut out the inner circle. This will make a donut shape.
